Employer of the Year

As part of a joint venture with Brockworth Enterprise School, Bullock arranged work experience for Year 10 student Daniel Holmes.

Daniel was invited to join the Bullock site team at Gloucester where we are currently working on a £3.5m refurbishment project for Gloucester City Homes.

After meeting Daniel, it was decided that it would be beneficial for him to experience all aspects of the production process as he wanted to progress with a carpentry trade in the construction industry.  Together with Daniel's Business Education Coordinator, Richard Giddy, a placement plan for the week was mapped out and a dedicated supervisor was assigned.

Although Daniel was not able to undertake any physical work due to his age, we ensured he was able to experience all elements of our site set up and kitchen and bathroom works.

On his return to school, Daniel was asked to submit a feedback form about his work experience with Bullock.  He gave a glowing report about his time spent with the Bullock site team in Gloucester and on Wednesday 24th September, Brockworth Enterprise School gave Bullock an award for Employer of the Year.

Michelle Barnett (TLO) and Kevin Steward (Partnering Manager) received the award on behalf of Bullock and wished Daniel every success for the future.
