Yates Court - Prescot, Liverpool

The project involved the construction of a new three storey Supported Family Housing Unit, comprising 13 flats and communal facilities.

The site has an existing, busy health centre on one boundary with domestic housing to other boundaries. There is also a large Tesco supermarket nearby, which added to the considerable challenges of this tight site.

Strict traffic control and temporary road closures were adopted to overcome these problems. Bullock’s Tenant Liaison Officers visited local residents and businesses and strong relationships were forged with the health centre.

Extensive value engineering was needed to overcome the cost of additional piling due to the discovery of old mine workings. The project completed within budget and on programme despite these additional works.
