Redgrove School - Bromsgrove

This challenging project involved the conversion of a Grade II listed school building into 11 new homes and the construction of eight new houses to the rear for Bromsgrove District Housing Trust.

By working collaboratively, we established a cost effective solution to achieving Code Level 3 on the new build element by the use of solar thermal hot water system, mechanical heat recovery ventilation and the use of Velux tunnel pipe skylight to reduce the need for artificial lighting.

The conversion of the school required the provision of a heated bat roost, extensive roof works to form habitable space and mezzanine floor construction. This element of the project received an Eco Very Good rating.
