89th Birthday Celebration for Resident in Towngate
Recently, Bullock Liaison Officers Debby Cooper and Clare Grayson visited Towngate residents Mr and Mrs Richardson for a special birthday celebration.
During the 21 day visit, Mr Richardson had mentioned that he and his wife were really excited about the improvement works and very grateful to be given the opportunity to have a new bathroom and kitchen on the day of Mr Richardson's birthday!
When asked how he planned to celebrate his birthday, Mr Richardson said that he did not celebrate birthdays anymore and could not recall the last time he had received a birthday cake.
With this in mind, Clare and Debby organised a collection amongst the Bullock staff and bought a birthday cake for Mr Richardson.
A short while later, Mr Richardson answered his door to find Debby and Clare singing "Happy Birthday to you....." whilst presenting him with the birthday cake.
Mr Richardson was temporarily rendered speechless, but when he had caught his breath, said he was overwhelmed by their thoughtfulness.
This was one birthday he will never forget!
