Prestigious Safety Awards

In May Bullock were pleased to hand out prestigious safety awards to a number of projects who performed best during site inspections and visits.

Awards were given as follows:

  • In the North East Region, Lower Baildon headed up by Bob Buckley and his team, including Paul Blackwell (Site Manager), Neil Murry (General Foreman) and Angela Johnson (Tenant Liaison Officer).  Bob Buckley says..."The job was a model project, finished on time and to the delight of the tenants and client.  A real team effort!".
  • In the West Midlands Region, Rushcliffe achieve the award.  The project headed up by Stefan Bingel, supported by Terry Harvey, now sadly deceased, Tony Stevens (acting Site Manager), Alan Symms (General Foreman), John Johnson (General Foreman) and Pauline Mumby (Tenant Liaison Officer).  Stefan says... "Congratulations to the whole team for the effort put in throughout the year!".
  • In the East Midlands Region, Martin Hall and his team, including Mike Farrell and Dave Smith (Site Managers) took the award for the Mansfield Woodhouse project.  Martin says... "Well done to Mike and Dave and all their foremen.  Mansfield are a very good client, for whom safety is paramount.  Their expectations have been achieved by the team".

The champagne corks were really popping in the North West when the team won both a regional award and secured the coveted National Safety Award.

  • The regional award went to the Liverpool Housing Trust project, headed up by Les Tirebuck, supported by Steve Jones (Site Manager), Ian Truesdale (General Foreman), Alan Tickle (General Foreman), Ian Wardle (QS) and Terry Halsall (Tenant Liaison Officer). 

Peter McGrail, Regional Director North West says... "I am delighted for the team in the North West on being awarded the National Safety Award which follows our recent award from AstraZeneca, where we were crowned 2008 winner of the AZ Construction Award for Safety.  This is a terrific achievement by the North West Bullock Team".

  • Constructing Excellence Award 2008

    Bullock together with Shoreline Housing Partnership and Mears have won the Constructing Excellence Award for the Integration and Collaborative Working category for the Yorkshire and Humber region.

  • New Award - Broxtowe Borough Council

    Bullock has recently been awarded a new contract with Broxtowe Borough Council for the housing refurbishment and modernisation of properties in the Nottingham area.

  • Safety Poster Competition

    In-house Graphic Designer Sarah Morley receives an award from the British Glove Association.

  • New Award - Briar Croft Phase 2, Stratford Upon Avon

    Following the successful completion of Phase 1 at the end of May 2008, Bullock have been awarded Phase 2 of the contract by Orbit Heart of England.
