New football kit for Collingham FC

New football kit for Collingham FC

Bullock who have been working in the Newark area for some time, recently found out that due to the current climate, Collingham FC were struggling to find local businesses to sponsor and support their club.

With this in mind, Bullock contacted the club and offered to provide the team with a new football kit.

Director of Football, Pat Douglas, gladly accepted our offer and was overjoyed to find out that the kit would be delivered in time for their final charity match against the Emmerdale Allstars.

The charity matches have been running for the past 10 years to raise money for Newark's Beaumond House Community Hospice and the final match was organised by Mrs Val Nicholson in memory of her later husband Mr Ian Nicholson, who died in 1996 in the hospice, aged 49, from a brain tumour.

Former Emmerdale actor, Ben Freeman, who played Scott Windsor, has been involved in raising money for Beaumond House from the beginning.  Before kick-off Ben said: "I've loved it here.  It is always a nice, friendly crowd.  It's a shame that we won't be coming back, but maybe we can sort something out in the future."

Although Collingham FC looked fantastic in their new kit and played a challenging game, the Emmerdale Allstars, lead by actor Glenn Lamont who played Richie Carter in the show, won the game 7-1!

The match raised £2,800, bringing the total raised for the hospice, in ten years, to £23,000.  A cheque will be presented to Beaumond House later this month.
