Environment

We are acutely aware of the environmental impact of our construction activities. Bullock is currently implementing an Environmental Management System designed to meet the requirements of ISO 14001 and to run concurrently with our existing ISO 9001:2000 Quality Management System.

ISO 14001 is internationally recognised as the principal industry indicator of environmental awareness.

We have an established Environmental Management Team (EMT) that works closely with Groundwork, a leading Government funded environmental company. The EMT is currently reviewing all of our construction processes and identifying those that may have a negative impact on the environment. Once identified, processes to eliminate, mitigate or reverse their effects will be developed and controls implemented.

Aiming for complete ISO 14001 compliance, our next steps are to establish our Environmental Policy throughout the organisation and to ensure all our staff are aware of their Environmental roles and responsibilities.
